The Additional 21st Century Science course looks in more detail at the mechanisms by which science works . Two thirds of the course is examined and the other one third is from coursework.

You will study nine modules - 3 Biology - (B4, B5 and B6), 3 Chemistry (C4, C5 and C6) and 3 Physics (P4, P5 and P6). You will be examined in these modules by three exams in the Winter (January/February) and the Summer (May/June). These exams give you 50% of your marks, you will also sit a written exam in the summer based on three media articles, this accounts for a further 16.6% of your marks.

You will also carry out and write up an investigation which will count as your piece of coursework and is worth 33% of the marks.
